The building is an extension of a warehouse where artist Brad Lochore has lived and worked for some time. Located within a district of Shoreditch where small art galleries are interspersed with local shops, it overlooks the red brick Boundary Estate, a significant social housing development of the early 20th century.
Brad’s studio has a large window opening behind a planned security screen of stainless steel mesh so that street life and studio activity interplay.
The project includes a two-storey extension to the rear of the warehouse that provides a kitchen, family room, study and roof garden.
